United Way of Weld County recognized for child abuse prevention efforts

Staff members from United Way of Weld County Promises for Children and 2-1-1 Information and Referral programs were recognized for their efforts and collaboration to prevent and reduce child abuse in Weld County at the Weld County Human Services Partners in Prevention celebration breakfast in Greeley on April 28.

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month for April, UWWC staff members received a plaque of appreciation that included a sketched photo of an adult’s hands holding the tiny feet of a baby. “We all advocate for child abuse prevention, whether it is our role at work or in our personal lives,” said Sheri Hannah-Ruh, director of Promises for Children/Weld County’s Early Childhood Council.
