United Way of Weld County recognized Bob Hinderaker as the 2015 Live United Award recipient during its Mad Hatter’s Ball and 75th anniversary celebration on March 19 at Island Grove Events Center in Greeley.

The Live United Award winner demonstrates exceptional commitment to United Way of Weld County, and demonstrates “out of the ordinary” commitment and impact. The recipient must be a United Way of Weld County contributor, advocate and volunteer.

Hinderaker has volunteered for United Way of Weld County taking a leadership role in a number of ways including: Loaned Executive, Fund Distribution Committee; Chairman, Promises for Children Auction; Campaign Chairman, Project Manager Vulnerability Index Project; Weld Homeless Coalition; Windsor Tornado Long-Term Recovery Committee and Weld Project Connect.

“It is important that when we have a neighbor in need that the community comes to their assistance, as they would do the same for me,” said Hinderaker, a former United Way of Weld County board member who currently chairs the Greeley Stampede Foundation and Weld Recovers Unmet Needs Committee. ““Not only do I believe in the mission of our United Way, but I appreciate the way the organization delivers on their promises.”
