UNITED WAY OF WELD COUNTY NAMES ANADARKO PETROLEUM CORPORATION 2015 COMPANY OF THE YEAR
One of Colorado’s largest oil and natural gas companies recognized for outstanding commitment to Weld County communities
United Way of Weld County named Anadarko Petroleum Corporation its 2015 Company of the Year on March 19 in Greeley. The recognition is for Anadarko’s steadfast commitment to sponsorship and employee engagement initiatives in Weld County and its outstanding support of United Way of Weld County. The distinguished honor was publicly recognized during United Way of Weld County’s 75th anniversary celebration at Island Grove Events Center.
“It’s a privilege and an honor to work so closely with United Way to serve communities, like Weld County, where so many of our employees live and work. Our support of nonprofit organizations across Colorado drives our people and business forward every day,” said Brad Holly, senior vice president of Rockies operations for Anadarko. “We are grateful for this recognition and will continue to support our communities today and in the years ahead.”
Anadarko has been partnering with United Way in Colorado for more than 12 years, and in 2015 the company’s employees contributed nearly $69,000 to the United Way of Weld County. The ongoing support of United Way of Weld County has benefited the lives of thousands of children, youth, families and the elderly in Weld County through programs focused on education, self-sufficiency, health and access to critical services.
