Officials from Extraction Oil & Gas presented a $50,000 check to United Way of Weld County President and CEO Jeannine Truswell at its Denver office recently.
The Denver-based company, which focuses on the exploration and production of oil and gas reserves in the Rocky Mountains, became the 35th Cornerstone Partner for United Way of Weld County. Thanks to companies such as Extraction Oil & Gas who are part of the Cornerstone Partners Program, 100 percent of a donor’s undesignated gift goes directly to local programs and services, and no overhead expenses are taken out of the donation.
The breakdown of the $50,000 donation from Extraction Oil & Gas is as follows:
• $5,000 to the United Way of Weld County Cornerstone Partners Program
• $15,000 to A Kid’s Place CASA program
• $15,000 to Town of Erie Parks and Recreation
• $15,000 to Town of Windsor Parks and Recreation
“United Way of Weld County is pleased to partner with Extraction Oil & Gas to help children, youth and families in Weld County,” Truswell said. “Extraction Oil & Gas is a vibrant and dynamic company that wants to positively impact the community.”
Extraction Oil & Gas President Matt Owens said Extraction is committed to helping Weld County residents through the programs and services that United Way of Weld County supports.
“Extraction Oil & Gas is very pleased to do our part to support the many United Way programs and initiatives that strengthen the communities where we live and work,” Owens said. “We are committed to being a good neighbor in all our operations and that’s why we value the efforts of United Way of Weld County. We look forward to this ongoing partnership and to supporting these programs that make a meaningful difference to all Weld County residents.”
