The fifth annual Weld Project Connect will be held from noon-4:30 p.m. Oct. 16, 2015, at Island Grove Park in Greeley, and volunteers are needed to help make it another success. The event will provide free on-site, one-on-one services for individuals and families in Weld County who need help due to foreclosure, job loss, underemployment, health issues and many other critical issues. Weld Project Connect is a great opportunity for those in need to be immediately connected with critical services and an opportunity for community members to connect with their neighbors.
Volunteers are needed from all backgrounds and experience levels to help our neighbors regain their footing in life. Volunteers help attendees navigate each of the service areas including Health, Community Assistance, Education, Documentation and Human Services, Wellness and Veterans. There is a large need for volunteers who can provide interpretation for attendees who do not speak English as a first language. There is also a limited need for additional volunteers to help with set up or take down or other support roles during the event.
